Speaking to Young Democrats from two high schools in Fairfax yesterday, David encouraged them to get involved with one or more of this year’s the many Democratic campaigns. “Whether it’s for the House of Delegates or a statewide office, these races are about your future, and this is a chance for you to have a voice,” David told the students. “Progressive values — Democratic values — are traditional American values, and you have the power, through your energy and your enthusiasm, to help Democrats win.”
The young men and women from Oakton High School and James Madison High School grilled David on a wide range of issues, from affirmative action to legislative redistricting to the death penalty.
“These young people are the future of our Commonwealth and of our party, and it’s great to see them so informed and engaged,” said David.
