Many thanks to the Vote Strong volunteers who turned out for two evenings this week of making phone calls, writing letters, entering data, and doing the hard grassroots work of fighting for a progressive future. Tuesday night was our usual Volunteer Night at Campaign Central and Wednesday we used the phones at Alexandria Hyundai.
While our volunteers — including the return of some familiar faces from the Primary campaign! — were winning votes on Tuesday for our David throughout the 45th district and for Dave Marsden in the 41st district, David spent the evening knocking on doors and talking with voters face-to-face. He took a brief respite from the doors to drop by the Cherry Blossom riverboat docked in Old Town to wish Del. Brian Moran, the House Democratic Caucus Chair, 
a Happy Birthday. Brian’s birthday bash included words from special guest retried General Wesley Clark, and Brian’s older brother, Congressman Jim Moran, and it raised a good sum of money toward Brian’s efforts as caucus chair to elect more Democrats.
