On the eve of Team Englin’s “Final Four” push, David spent the day campaign hard across the 45th district.
The day started early, with David meeting voters at the King Street metro station, which he has been doing regularly for many months. Later, in the morning, David and other Democrats welcomed
Lt. Governor Tim Kaine to Shirlington, where Kaine impressed upon the crowd the importance of this weekend’s get out the vote efforts. Following that, David joined Delegate Brian Moran, candidate for sheriff Dana Lawhorne, and a packed house of volunteers at the Alexandria Democratic Committee headquarters to make phone calls to voters throughout Alexandria reminding them to vote on Tuesday.
“It was terrific to see so many committed volunteers of all ages and backgrounds packed into the Alexandria Democratic Committee headquarters stuffing envelopes, assembling literature, making calls, and devoting themselves to our fight for progress,” said David. “When we win on Tuesday, it will be because of these hardworking, dedicated grassroots volunteers.”
David later joined local elected officials and other community leaders to celebrate the opening of the new building for the Arlandria Health Center, which provides quality, affordable, accessible health care to many of Alexandria’s poorest families.
