Campaign Central was bursting at the seams last night with grassroots volunteers making hundreds of phone calls to get out the vote to defeat Question 1. Many thanks to Karen Gautney, Claire Dunn, and other volunteers from the Alexandria Office on Women, who sponsored the evening, which saw nearly 30 people — including more than a dozen new volunteers — doing the hard grassroots work necessary to win.
“It means so much to our family that you’re willing to give your time and energy to come to our home and fight for the future,” said David, thanking the volunteers. “The momentum is shifting, and thanks to you doing the hard — and often tedious — work necessary to reach out to individual voters, I’m confident 
that we’re going to surprise a lot of people on Tuesday. Thank you for everything you’re doing to push Virginia and America to live up to our founding creed.”
