David updates Rosemont citizens on General Assembly work

200807311506.jpgDavid joined Senator Patsy Ticer at Maury Elementary School yesterday evening to update members of the Rosemont Citizens Association about the work of the 2007 General Assembly. David shared his views on the transportation negotiations, reiterating the need to find a long-term solution that will protect funds for education, health care, public safety, and environmental protection.

“Thanks to Republican intransigence, the compromise plan the Governor announced this week is unfortunately messy, but it’s a far cry better than the plan that passed the House over my objection a few weeks ago,” said David.

David also updated the group on his own successful legislation, and answered questions on a range of issues, from electricity utilities re-regualtion to improving the integrity of our voting system.
