If you are a registered voter in the City of Alexandria, today is the day to get out and make your voice heard!
“Justin Wilson has the experience to lead and a vision for the future that will help deliver a brighter tomorrow for all Alexandrians,” said David. “I’m proud to support him, and I urge all Alexandrians for vote for him today.”
Vote at your normal polling place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. today. Click here for more information about where and how to vote.
Congratulations to Justin Wilson on his terrific victory in today’s special election for Alexandria City Council! Justin defeated Republican candidate former Vice Mayor Bill Cleveland. Click here for the complete election results.
“We were proud to open Campaign Central today to get out the vote for
Justin,” said David. “Thank you to all of the grassroots volunteers who spent the day making calls for Justin from our home reminding Democrats to vote. Shayna and I are proud to have Justin serving our family on City Council.”
David spent the day working his way around to all of the Alexandria polling places in the 45th District, talking with voters, thanking
volunteers, urging people to support Justin, and asking voters for their support this November.
“I’m so proud of all of the Alexandrians who worked for another terrific Democratic victory,” said David. “With your help, I’m confident that we’ll defeat my Republican opponent this November so we can continue making progress for our community.”

Many thanks to the Team Englin volunteers who spent yesterday evening stuffing envelopes for David and making phones calls to remind Alexandrians to vote for Justin Wilson for City Council on Tuesday.
“I am so appreciative to David, Shayna and the many volunteers who helped out at Team Englin on behalf of my campaign,” said Justin. “I’m proud to stand with David as he fights for a better tomorrow for all Virginians, and I look forward to supporting his effort this November.”
While a houseful of people continued Team Englin’s ongoing grassroots outreach from Campaign Central, David was out knocking on doors and talking with voters, listening to their ideas and concerns and sharing his own.
Join us on Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. at Campaign Central — 1505 Wayne Street, Alexandria — as we use our phone lines to make the final push to make Justin Wilson our next member the Alexandria City Council!

David and his family joined thousands of Alexandrians and visitors today to celebrate the City of Alexandria’s 258th birthday and America’s 231st birthday.
After Alexandria’s Town Crier announced the official opening of the annual celebration, David joined other elected officials as Mayor Bill Euille presented the Parks and
Recreation Commission’s Outstanding Community Service Awards.
Following the awards presentation, David helped serve the City’s birthday cupcakes.
While this year’s planned fireworks were unfortunately cancelled, the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra entertained the crowd into the evening with a stirring performance that included cannon fired by the U.S. Marine Corps.
