Many thanks to all of the volunteers who packed Campaign Central shoulder-to-shoulder last night to escape the August heat and do the work necessary to propel David to victory this November and to help change the balance of power in the General Assembly.
“Wow — what an amazing turnout!” said David. “Given that it’s August and half of the area seems to be on vacation, we expected just a handful of people. I am incredibly honored and humbled that so many people believe enough in our cause to give their time and energy like this.”
The two-dozen volunteers included several long-time Team Englin stalwarts, as well as five new volunteers, including newly-minted Alexandria City Councilman Justin Wilson.
Throughout the evening, the crew stuffed thousands of envelopes and made hundreds of phone calls to every corner of the 45th District sharing David’s 
record of strong, effective, progressive leadership, and reminding voters to turn out this November. Volunteers also made hundreds of calls into two targeted districts to help Democratic challengers pick up seats currently held by Republicans.
