ALEXANDRIA – The Virginia AFL-CIO formally announced Monday that it endorses Del. David Englin (D-45) for re-election to the House of Delegates in this year’s November election.
“Representatives of the working men and women of Virginia overwhelmingly voted to endorse Delegate David Englin’s candidacy,” said James R. Leaman, Virginia AFL-CIO president. “He is indeed an effective voice for Virginia’s working families, and we’re proud to stand with him.”
“It’s an honor to have the support of an organization that represents working families in Virginia and across the country,” said Englin. “We wouldn’t have a middle class today, or weekends off, were it not for organized labor. I’m proud to stand with the AFL-CIO to support working men and women, fighting for basic needs like safe working conditions and decent wages and health care benefits.”
