The Jefferson Manor neighborhood in the Fairfax part of the 45th District celebrated the community’s 60th anniversary Saturday with a nieghborhood picnic at Jefferson Manor park. David stopped by to congratulate residents, who have worked hard over the past several years to revitalize the community.
“Thanks largely to the efforts of engaged citizens, Jefferson Manor has transformed from an at-risk neighborhood to a diverse and up-and-coming community,”
said David. “We have many challenges — especially when it comes to rehabilitating and maintaining the roads and sidewalks here — but we face them together. It’s an honor to work with people like Chris Soule, Tom Rickert, Josh Delmonico, and everyone who is giving their time and energy to strengthen this community for the future.”
