David and family joined Alexandria Police Chief David Baker on Sunday to light the menorah at the annual Hanukkah celebration hosted by Chabad Lubavitch of of Arlington-Alexandria.
“Lighting the menorah on a dreary day like this reminds us that, when we come together as a community, we can add to the light in the world,” said David, thanking Rabbi Mordecai Newman for the honor of lighting one of the flames.
The ceremony, hosted by J and J Oriental Rugs in Old Town, Alexandria, is an annual event that includes songs, dancing, latkes, and other Hanukah traditions.
