Many thanks to the 53 volunteers who joined us yesterday for an amazing evening of grassroots action, making it our largest turnout ever for an “off-season” Volunteer Night (i.e.: where David is not on the ballot and the next election is still months away.) We had several longtime volunteers, but we also had a great many first-time volunteers, including eight-year-old twins and their mom, young people who came to politics through Barack Obama, a mother and daughter who have been strong Hillary Clinton supporters, and many others.
“Shayna and I were both truly inspired to see so many friends and neighbors coming together in our home to work for change and progress,” said David.
Thanks to the hard work of our Team Englin volunteers, we got out thousands of pieces of mail, including our monthly welcome letter to newly-registered voters, a massive mailing to local businesses soliciting input for a new economic development initiative, and fundraising letters to raise the resources to keep up our grassroots push to deliver Virginia for Democrats this November.
