Richmond - The Virginia Public Access Project, the non-partisan, non-profit organization devoted to campaign finance transparency in Virginia, Thursday named Del. David Englin (D-45) to it’s Honor Roll. A member of VPAP’s Sunshine Caucus, Englin makes a point to voluntary file campaign finance reports electronically so VPAP may easily integrate the data into its campaign financy transparency database.
“Transparency is the overarching principle of Virginia’s campaign finance system, and electronic filing is a simple step candidates can take to make sure constituents can see who contributes what and hold elected leaders accountable,” said Englin, who has successfully passed legislation to strengthen Virginia’s campaign finance disclosure laws.
