“Northern Virginia Technology Council’s TechPAC is pleased to endorse David’s re-election to the Virginia House of Delegates.  He has been an advocate for issues of importance to Northern Virginia’s technology community, including long-term transportation funding initiatives,” said Dendy Young, NVTC TechPAC chairman.  “We look forward to working with him to build a better technology future.”

“These high-tech businesses are the backbone of Northern Virginia’s economy, and their success has helped our region weather the recession better than most,” said Englin.  “I especially appreciate NVTC’s advocacy for responsible, long-term transportation solutions so we can protect our economy and our quality of life without putting public education, public safety, heath care, and the environment at risk.  I’m honored to have such strong support from our area’s business community, and I look forward to continuing our work together to make life better for individuals and families throughout the Commonwealth.”

NVTC is the membership and trade association for the technology community in Northern Virginia and is the largest technology council in the nation. Its membership includes companies from all sectors of the technology industry including information technology, software/hardware, Internet, ISPs, telecommunications, biotechnology, bioinformatics, aerospace, and nanotechnology, as well as the service providers that play an important role in supporting these companies.

Delegate David Englin is currently serving his second term in the Virginia House of Delegates, where he represents the 45th District, which includes parts of the City of Alexandria, Fairfax County, and Arlington County. He faces a Republican challenger in the upcoming Nov. 3 election.
