David stands up for religious minorities against school prayer amendment

House Republicans brought forward a proposed change to the Virginia Constitution’s First Amendment intended to allow sectarian prayer in public schools, including prayers offered by teachers and school officials, so long as the school itself does not compose the language of the prayer.  As one of just four Jewish members of the General Assembly, David continues to play a key role in defending the rights of religious minorities, and he spoke against this amendment when it came to the House floor Wednesday.
