People who knew David growing up on military bases overseas or during his time at the U.S. Air Force Academy often do a double take and are confused when they see his name because they once knew him as David English. So what’s with the name Englin?
Before they were married in 1996, David was David English and Shayna was Shayna Wolin. At their wedding, they combined their names into Englin as a way to honor both of their families equally and as a meaningful symbol of their union.
